Welcome To 2005

It sure takes discipline to post to a blog regularly. I haven't been sluffing off, no sir! The new year has brought a renewed intensity.

Google is up to her old tricks, and some of my new pages were here one day, gone the next, back later that day, etc. Blogging and Pinging has definitely helped get into Yahoo fast. For me, it has always seemed that getting strong back links works best for G.

What's hot for 2005? Niche, niche, niche. That's all anyone talks about. The selling of "picks and shovels" is a dying business. Picks and shovels refers to the merchants who got rich in the gold rush selling tools to miners. The "getrich onlline" niche is thinning and is overly competitive and duplicated.

I've niched from day 1 in the MLM niche, and then later totally unrelated industries. I encourage everyone to fall in love with their hobby and start there. People who love stamp collecting should build a stamp collector site, build an ezine, put up adsense, create content and have a nice site that make a steady income. Then go do it again.

Even my wife is excited! She's building sites for knitting and cooking this year.

I have to go shovel the driveway....snow, snow and more snow.
