Is Email Going To Die?

Do you love or hate email? Or neither? I am growing to hate email more and more every single day. I have 4 personal accounts, plus 1 corporate account. All are clogged with ezines, spam, and crap. The filters on gmail, yahoo and hotmail vary in their effectiveness.

I have one corporate account that gets over 800 spams a day. And less than 50 of them are in English. It's maddening.

On the other hand, I find myself using text messaging on my cellphone more and more. I work with a lot of twenty-somethings, and its their preferred method of communicating.

I am testing Skype-out as well now instead of my home office phone. The thought of being tied to a desk is nuts in this day and age. I can grab my laptop, head to Starbucks, and phone all over the world for free or nearly free. Check out Skype.com if you haven't yet.

I would never join an VOIP MLM, or any telephone MLM that's for sure. Eventually Microsoft or some big cable provider will bundle it for free with some package.

Tons of changes. The scary part is how many people are getting left behind. Most of the prospects that I have been meeting with have cell phones, but spend almost zero time online...cell phones seem to be winning the war of the pda/laptop/desktop/tv box wars.
